TMA CHAPTER & INDIVIDUAL AWARDS
TMA’s Chapter and Individual Awards spotlight the exceptional efforts of individual volunteers and chapters worldwide. Each year, honorees stand as inspiring examples of the association’s core values, embodying the spirit of selfless service and expressing the organization’s mission at every turn. These awards are presented each year at the TMA Annual Conference.

About the Awards Process
Nominate yourself or a colleague for the recognition they deserve. The TMA Global Individual Excellence, Emerging Leader, and Chapter Impact Awards recognize individuals who have gone above and beyond for TMA. Do you know someone who fits that bill? Consider nominating them today. Please see below for the descriptions of each Individual Award.
A letter of recommendation addressed to the TMA Chapter & Individual Awards Committee from the nominee’s TMA Chapter President is highly encouraged but not required. You can also submit letters of recommendation from a personal or professional reference.
Guidelines for Submitting an Entry
- Awards Open May 8, 2026 for both Chapter and Individual Awards
- Entries are due June 22, 2026. Recipients will be announced in September
- Awards will be presented in person at the 2026 TMA Annual in Houston, Texas. Award recipients are encouraged to attend.
- For nominations involving a specific event, the event must have taken place between January 1, 2025 – December 31, 2025.

Individual Awards
Individual Excellence
Whether assisting with a pro bono case or serving in a TMA leadership position, this individual raises the awareness and stature of the corporate restructuring industry. Winners of this award are TMA members with at least 10 years of industry experience and five or more years of TMA involvement. This award honors the dedication of those outstanding individuals who give back to their profession.
Emerging Leader
Emerging leaders bring vibrancy, dedication, and energy to volunteer organizations, from fresh ideas to cutting-edge technology suggestions. Without these innovative perspectives, an association would flounder. The winner in this category can be an active TMA NextGen volunteer or a professional new to the turnaround and restructuring field.
Chapter Impact
Chapters and their leadership are the foundation of TMA. The winner in the chapter impact category can be someone who founded a TMA chapter, spearheaded a successful chapter program or event, or strengthened the chapter. This award honors the dedication of a TMA member who has shown outstanding leadership and service at the chapter level.
Chapter Awards
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Award
The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Award recognizes one chapter, regardless of size, for extraordinary work done to advance TMA’s efforts to improve diversity, equity and inclusion among our membership by improving representation among, women, people of color, LGBTQ+ or other underrepresented professionals.
International Chapter Excellence Award
The International Chapter Award recognizes one chapter that has excelled at the implementation of forward-thinking ideas, innovation, creativity, member value, and engagement within the global TMA community, either within the chapter itself or by partnering with another chapter or TMA program to add member value.
Most Innovative Program Award
It starts out with an idea. That idea takes hold and before you know it, you have a successful program. The Most Innovative Program Award recognizes one chapter, regardless of size, that has executed a unique or innovative program or event during the year.
North American Chapter Excellence Award
The North American Chapter Award recognizes one chapter that has excelled at the implementation of forward-thinking ideas, innovation, creativity, member value, and engagement within the global TMA community, either within the chapter itself or by partnering with another chapter or TMA program to add member value.
