Christine Melendes, CAE
Chief Executive Officer

Christine Melendes serves as Chief Executive Officer of the Turnaround Management Association, leading TMA’s global strategy and working with its members, chapters, volunteers, and partners to strengthen the organization and expand its impact around the world.
With more than 20 years of association leadership experience, Christine has built her career around growth, member value, and creating new opportunities for organizations and the communities they serve. Before joining TMA, she held senior leadership roles at the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) and other national associations, leading initiatives across membership, events, education, marketing, partnerships, and revenue growth. She is a Certified Association Executive (CAE).
Outside of TMA, Christine enjoys reading, reformer Pilates, traveling, spending time with her son and dogs, and exploring mountains and oceans whenever she can.
Adam Gilgour
Director, Operations

Adam Gilgour leads TMA Global’s operations and governance, overseeing the systems, processes, and day-to-day work that keep the organization running effectively. He works across the organization to strengthen operations, improve the member experience, and support TMA’s chapters, volunteers, partners, and members.
In his governance role, Adam leads the planning and execution of TMA Global’s Board of Directors and Executive Board meetings, supports board and committee operations, and works closely with volunteer leaders and staff to ensure effective governance and decision-making.
Prior to joining TMA, Adam worked in corporate workplace hospitality, bringing a background in operations, relationship management, and organizational coordination to his role at TMA.
Outside of TMA, you can find Adam enjoying live theater, traveling, and spending time with his dog, Albert.

Suzanne Burke, CTP
Senior Director of Finance

Suzanne Burke, CTP, leads TMA Global’s financial operations and serves as staff liaison to the TMA Global Finance and Audit Committees. She works closely with TMA leadership and volunteers to support strong financial management, accounting, reporting, planning, and stewardship of the association’s resources.
Suzanne, a 25-year TMA Chicago/Midwest member, brings extensive senior financial leadership experience as a CPA and turnaround consultant across manufacturing, financial services, healthcare, and service industries, including private equity-backed, privately held, and publicly traded companies. Her experience in growth and turnaround environments gives her a unique perspective on both TMA’s operations and the profession the association serves.
Outside of TMA, Suzanne enjoys kayaking.
Jim Gresh
Accounting Manager

Jim Gresh serves as TMA Global’s Accounting Manager, supporting the organization’s financial reporting, accounting operations, and financial controls. He works closely with TMA’s finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial information and support the organization’s overall financial stewardship.
Jim is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with extensive experience in corporate finance and accounting across many different service industries.
Outside of TMA, Jim enjoys spending time outside and traveling.
Kara Tillmon
Accounting Specialist

Kara Tillmon supports TMA Global’s accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, helping manage the day-to-day financial transactions that keep the organization running smoothly. She works with TMA staff, members, chapters, sponsors, vendors, and partners to support accurate and timely billing, payments, and financial administration.
Kara brings 12 years of finance experience to TMA, including accounts payable, remittance processing, and more.
Outside of TMA, Kara enjoys reading and couponing.

Phyllis Collins
Operations and Administrative Coordinator

Phyllis Collins supports TMA Global’s day-to-day operations and helps members navigate TMA’s systems, services, and resources. She manages our information, membership, and conferences inboxes, where she resolves registration, billing, and technical issues members encounter. She also serves as a key point of contact for explaining membership benefits and communicating the value of TMA membership.
Phyllis compiles, analyzes, and processes membership applications, renewal payments, and student memberships, as well as conference registrations. Since joining TMA in 2020, she has become a familiar and helpful resource for members, volunteers, and colleagues across the organization.
Phyllis brings experience from the nonprofit and healthcare sectors, along with a strong commitment to customer service. She is known for her positive, can-do approach and her willingness to help members find the answers and support they need.
Outside of TMA, Phyllis enjoys spending time with family, music, art, and traveling.
Tawana Roberts
Senior Specialist, Membership Database Support

Tawana Roberts supports the systems and data that help TMA Global better understand and serve its members. With more than 20 years of experience working with membership database systems, she brings deep expertise in data management, reporting, technical support, and problem solving.
Her technical experience includes Crystal Reports, SQL scripting, Power BI dashboards, and Protech. Tawana works across teams to translate business needs into practical data and technology solutions, helping improve reporting, processes, and the overall member experience.
Outside of TMA, Tawana enjoys crocheting, baking, and spending time with her family.

Helen Dean
Operations Coordinator, TMA Europe

Helen Dean supports the operations and programs of TMA Europe, working with members, chapters, volunteers, and partners across the European community. She helps coordinate TMA Europe’s events, communications, administration, and day-to-day member and chapter support.
Working alongside TMA Europe’s volunteer leadership and the TMA Global team, Helen helps keep programs and initiatives moving across TMA’s European network.
Helen brings strong organizational skills, having previously worked for large corporations for more than 20 years. She has since worked in association management for nearly three years and has supported multiple events during that time.
Outside of TMA, she enjoys being mum to a busy, sports-loving 12-year-old boy and volunteering for her local Scouting group as chair of the trustee board.
Helen Jacobi
General Manager, TMA Europe & International Liaison, TMA Global

Helen works with volunteer leaders, members, partners, and the TMA Global team to strengthen connections and create value across TMA’s European community and beyond.
She supports TMA Europe’s strategic priorities, chapter relationships, events, partnerships, and volunteer leadership initiatives across the region. As International Liaison, she also explores opportunities for TMA in new markets, supporting new chapters through formation and growth, and bringing people together across borders to create connections, share ideas, and open up new opportunities.
A creative pragmatist, Helen brings over 15 years of association management experience, working with global organizations from start-up through to sustained growth. She combines strategic thinking with a practical, hands-on approach, helping TMA evolve internationally to strengthen communities and deliver lasting value for TMA members.
Outside of TMA, Helen is a keen gardener and enthusiastic cook, happiest when turning something homegrown into something delicious. She also loves to travel.

Ashleigh Hill
Director, Professional Development

Ashleigh Hill leads TMA Global’s education and certification programs, overseeing in-person and online learning opportunities designed to support professionals throughout their careers. She works closely with TMA’s Education Oversight and Conference Committees and supports educational programming across TMA’s major global conferences.
Ashleigh holds an MA in Gender Studies from DePaul University and has volunteered with Chicago-area animal rescues for more than 10 years. She enjoys reading, live theater, and swimming.
Ashleigh has been with TMA since October 2023 and has a background in adult, community, and legal education.
Ashlynn Hill
Senior Manager, Strategic Programs

Ashlynn Hill manages TMA Global’s awards and recognition programs, helping celebrate the people, companies, chapters, and transactions that demonstrate excellence across the TMA community. She coordinates programs including the Turnaround and Transaction of the Year Awards, Chapter and Individual Awards, conference recognition programs, and TMA’s Industry Hall of Fame.
Ashlynn also supports TMA’s certification programs and member initiatives, working with volunteers and colleagues to strengthen programs and the member experience. Known for her organization and collaborative approach, she helps committees stay aligned, anticipates needs, and keeps complex projects moving forward.
Ashlynn has been with TMA since 2022. She holds a bachelor’s degree in corporate communication and a minor in social media, is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), and was selected for Association Forum’s 2025 Emerging Leaders Program cohort.
Outside of TMA, Ashlynn enjoys getting lost in a good thriller and practicing ballroom and Latin dancing.

Talayah Goodlow
Senior Coordinator, Marketing & Communications

Talayah Goodlow supports TMA Global’s marketing and communications by shaping how the organization connects with members, communicates its mission, and brings the TMA brand to life across newsletters, social media, and digital channels. She also works closely with TMA’s Network of Women (NOW), supporting programming and engagement across the community.
Talayah brings more than 20 years of graphic design experience along with a strong background in marketing and communications. She holds an MBA and has worked across government and nonprofit organizations, bringing creativity, design expertise, and a strong sense of community to her work at TMA.
Her commitment to strengthening the profession and creating a more inclusive industry was recognized with an ASAE Power of Associations Award for her work bringing the importance of diversity in the turnaround and restructuring field to the forefront.
Outside of TMA, Talayah enjoys stepping away from the screen and getting hands-on through volunteering in the fine arts and supporting youth empowerment initiatives in her community.
Nicholas Leider
Editor-in-Chief, Journal of Corporate Renewal

Nicholas Leider serves as Editor-in-Chief of the TMA Journal of Corporate Renewal, TMA’s flagship publication covering the people, ideas, trends, and issues shaping the turnaround and restructuring profession. He works with TMA members and industry leaders to bring timely perspectives and thought leadership to the global TMA community.
Nick brings 20 years of magazine and publishing experience and has written on subjects ranging from commercial real estate to metallurgy. He is also the author of “Pool & Billiards for Dummies.”
Outside of work, Nick enjoys running, cooking, live music, and following the Chicago Cubs and Bulls.
Jodi Talley
Senior Director, Marketing & Communications

Jodi Talley leads TMA Global’s marketing and communications. With more than 20 years of experience helping nonprofits and associations grow through digital-first strategy, compelling storytelling, and data-informed decision-making, Jodi brings an uncommon combination of creative vision and technological fluency, transforming emerging tools and audience insights into practical strategies.
Since joining TMA in 2020, Jodi has led a broad modernization of the association’s marketing infrastructure and operations. She launched a new website, implemented marketing automation and online video-capture platforms, and redesigned workflows to make campaigns more efficient, integrated, and scalable. She has also led successful product launches and developed high-impact marketing and branding campaigns for TMA conferences, programs, and member initiatives.
Her work has helped drive sold-out events, record-breaking attendance, stronger audience engagement, and significant operational savings. By expanding in-house capabilities, streamlining processes, and using data to guide strategy, she has not only generated revenue for TMA but also saved the organization hundreds of thousands of dollars while extending its reach and impact.
Jodi is known for pairing curiosity and innovation with disciplined execution, continually finding smarter and more creative ways to connect professionals with the value of TMA.
Outside of TMA, Jodi puts her love of writing, technology, and social media to good use through various volunteer efforts.

Lori Carney
Meeting Planner

Lori Carney manages TMA Global’s conferences and events, working across the organization to create experiences that bring members together, strengthen connections, and deliver value to the TMA community. She works closely with staff, volunteer leaders, speakers, sponsors, venues, and partners to manage the many details that go into successful TMA events.
Lori brings extensive event and project management experience, including the planning and execution of large-scale conferences, complex event budgets, and programs serving more than 1,000 attendees. She is known for her detailed approach, strong relationships, and ability to keep complex events moving from planning through execution.
Outside of TMA, Lori enjoys adventures with her husband and three children, traveling, staying active, and reading.
Scott F. Zeller
Senior Director, Sponsorship & Business Development

Scott Zeller leads TMA Global’s sponsorship and business development strategy, creating partnerships and opportunities that deliver value to TMA, its members, and the broader turnaround and restructuring community. He works closely with sponsors, industry partners, and prospective organizations to develop meaningful collaborations, strengthen relationships, and expand TMA’s non-dues revenue.
Since joining TMA in 2019, Scott has been instrumental in advancing TMA’s conferences, events, and volunteer engagement initiatives. His work spans strategic partnerships, sponsorship experiences, event development, and chapter collaboration, bringing together members and industry leaders to create impactful opportunities for connection and engagement.
Scott also serves as staff liaison to the Chapter Presidents Council (CPC), working with TMA’s chapter leadership to support collaboration and strengthen the connection between TMA Global and its chapters.
Outside of TMA, Scott enjoys traveling to new places, getting his hands dirty in the garden, hiking scenic trails, discovering great food and music, and finding any excuse to be outdoors and explore.
