Turnaround Management Training and Certification Paths (CTA/CTP)

Friday, April 24, 2026
1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. CT
/ 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. ET

Please join us for a free one-hour training webinar presenting TMA’s Body of Knowledge books and certification exams — a practical, knowledge-first program designed to build shared fundamentals across the restructuring ecosystem. Speed matters — and so does having a common baseline: terminology, core concepts, and the “standard plays” that show up across cases. Our curriculum and subsequent exams, to gain your CTA or CTP certification, are built around demonstrating proficiency in the legal, managerial, and financial aspects of turnaround work — giving professionals a strong foundation to operate more effectively in real situations.

What you’ll take away in 60 minutes:

  • What TMA’s Body of Knowledge materials and certification exams cover and how they align candidates on fundamentals.
  • How TMA supports staying current through education offerings (including continuing education resources and LearningLink).
  • How other professionals in the restructuring space are using TMA’s CTA program as part of their core staff training and why this may be a good option for your firm.

Presenters bring 50+ years of combined restructuring experience, spanning middle-market to mega-case situations.

TMA Turnaround Square: The Mind of the Mediator: The Benefit of Engaging Intermediaries in Turnaround Practice

Wednesday, May 6, 2026
11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. CT
/ 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. ET

To maximize the benefits of mediation, turnaround professionals should understand the mediator’s approach, preparation, and method for conducting the mediation process. This program brings together three experienced, well-known mediators to discuss their views of how a mediator prepares for and conducts mediation and the tools they use to bring the parties together. Panelists will discuss:

Scheduling mediation to optimize the likelihood of success.

How the mediator will prepare for the mediation session, and how you can expect the mediator to use his or her analysis of the facts and law in his or her discussions with the parties.

The critical importance of the party’s mediation statements and how they differ from briefs submitted to courts in litigation.

Join us to answer the questions: Should the parties expect the mediator to provide an assessment of the merits of the case? Should a mediator adopt an evaluative or facilitative approach? How might the mediator respond to an apparent impasse? What value could mediation provide for the parties and their professionals, even if the mediation does not produce an immediate agreement on all issues?

1.2 CEU and 1.2 CPE credits are available, 1 CLE credit is anticipated.
