Women’s History Month Featured Member: Jenny Stam

This Women’s History Month, TMA is proud to celebrate the accomplished women in our association. Whether its achieving new career milestones, serving as volunteer leaders in TMA, or supporting one another in their mutual goal of advancing women in the industry, these members are constantly raising the bar for TMA. We’ll be featuring notable women of TMA all month so keep an eye on the Weekly Report and LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.

This week, we’re shining the spotlight on Jenny Stam, Norton Rose Fulbright LLP (TMA Toronto). [[{“fid”:”15193″,”view_mode”:”default”,”fields”:{“format”:”default”,”alignment”:””,”field_file_image_alt_text[und][0][value]”:false,”field_file_image_title_text[und][0][value]”:false},”link_text”:null,”type”:”media”,”field_deltas”:{“1”:{“format”:”default”,”alignment”:””,”field_file_image_alt_text[und][0][value]”:false,”field_file_image_title_text[und][0][value]”:false}},”attributes”:{“style”:”height: 200px; width: 150px; float: right; margin: 8px;”,”class”:”media-element file-default”,”data-delta”:”1″}}]]

This year, Jenny was appointed as chair of TMA’s newly formed Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. Jenny has also been an active member of TMA Toronto and TMA Global for over 10 years. Starting as a volunteer, Jenny joined the board of TMA Toronto in 2015 and took on the role of Chapter President in 2020. In 2021, Jenny served on the Executive Board of TMA Global and was a member of the TMA NOW, 2021 TMA Annual and Chapter & Individual Awards Committees.

Jenny shared some words of advice for women just starting out in the turnaround industry.

“One of the best things about the turnaround industry is its fast paced nature, dynamism and requirement for creativity. Women entering this field should not be afraid to embrace their strengths and not assume that just because things have always been done a certain way, they have to continue to be that way. Change is often welcomed and can often lead to the most successful result,” she explained.

We’re #TMAProud of Jenny’s many accomplishments in TMA and her efforts to build an even brighter future for the association.
