Get ready for the ultimate showdown—where brains meet brilliance and strategy takes center stage! It’s time to unleash your inner financial guru and restructuring wizard because the battle for bragging rights and the coveted trophy is on!
This is not your average competition; it’s a high-stakes event where NextGen members from TMA chapters across the globe come together to showcase their skills in the world of finance, restructuring, and more. The Tourney includes preliminary, semi-final, and final rounds where groups or pools of teams face off virtually, presenting a turnaround plan in front of a panel of “judges” (turnaround professionals).

Applications are due Friday, May 15.
Team Composition
- All TMA chapters (North America and international affiliates) are eligible to participate in the Competition. Each chapter may only be represented by one (1) team, except where NextGen members from multiple chapters are combined to form one team.
- All teams should have a minimum of three (3) members and a maximum of four (4) members. The team should include at least one (1) bankruptcy/restructuring attorney, one (1) financial advisor or consultant, and one (1) lender or investor. The fourth member, if any, may be from any profession or discipline.
- Each TMA chapter team should designate one official team coach, but in the preparation of their presentation, shall not be precluded from seeking advice from other professionals.

Eligibility
All applicants must be TMA members who qualify as NextGen (under 40 years of age at the time of qualifying for the competition), committed to participating in all three rounds (preliminary, semi-final, and final rounds, if they advance).
Entry Fee
Each TMA Chapter will pay a $250 entry fee for its team
2026 TMA Turnaround Tourney Schedule
- Applications accepted: April 1 – May 15
- Case study sent to teams: June 12
- Preliminary Round: July 15,16, and 17, between 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. CT, virtual*
- Semi-Final Round: August 14, virtual*
- Final Round: TBD Mid-October 2026
