Fraud Alert: Phishing Emails Are on the Rise

The Turnaround Management Association has been made aware of phishing emails sent to members impersonating official TMA communications. These emails often use the TMA logo, our physical mailing address, and request payment for membership dues via fraudulent links.

This scam puts your financial information at risk and disrupts the legitimate communications you may receive from TMA Global or your local chapter regarding your membership.

Be Alert – Common Scam Tactics Include:

  • Offers to sell member contact lists
  • Fake links to pay membership dues
  • Bogus hotel booking emails for conferences
  • Wire transfer or payment requests from an impersonated Board member

Legitimate Membership Dues Communications Come From:

  • membership@turnaround.org
  • communications@turnaround.org
  • propfuel@turnaround.org
  • TMA Director of Membership and Chapter Support Cheryl Mezydlo (cmezydlo@turnaround.org)
  • Your local chapter’s email address (ex ChapterName@turnaround.org)
  • Board members using their firm emails
  • Kentwood Partners (TurnaroundManagementAssn@kentwoodpartners.com) – an authorized firm that contacts members via phone and email, but never accepts payment over the phone.
