CEO Speaks 5.3.25

Happy Saturday, and welcome to CEO Speaks for May 3, 2025—brought to you exclusively by Second Wind Consultants, specializing in Article 9 out-of-court transactional restructurings.

The past two weeks—and what’s ahead—are powerful reminders of why TMA membership isn’t just valuable, it’s essential. This is where professionals don’t just grow, they thrive.

Next up: the 11th Annual TMA Network of Women (NOW) Conference, landing next week in Nashville, TN. Nearly 120 powerhouse women from across TMA Nation will unite for a high-energy celebration of empowerment, education, connection, and leadership.

Huge thanks to co-chairs Michelle Salazar-Rosenbloom and Monique DiSabitino, and the full NOW Committee, for curating an experience that honors trailblazers and welcomes newcomers ready to be wowed. It’s inclusion in action—and a blueprint for progress.

And just two weeks later—we go global.

Paris, here we come. The 3rd Annual TMA International Symposium & European Annual Conference is already drawing participants from 14 countries. This isn’t just an event—it’s a showcase of TMA’s global brand power, set against the iconic backdrop of the City of Love.

The program? Unmissable. A keynote from Dr. Jacques Attali on global shifts in geopolitics and economics. A closing address by Michael Picuaud, President of the Friends of Notre-Dame de Paris Foundation, on the inspiring reconstruction of a world treasure.

Add to that: hands-on workshops from TMA NOW/NextGen and EACTP, rapid-fire masterclasses, world-class networking, and roundtables designed to drive action. And we’ll wrap it all with a landmark moment: the official signing ceremony welcoming TMA Poland—another bold step in our global expansion.

This is TMA at full throttle—from sea to shining sea, and now across the globe. Real connections. Real leadership. Real impact.

Speaking of impact—this week, we went from concept to execution in record time with our first-ever pop-up TMA Turnaround Square webinarAll Things Tariffs.” With thought leaders Brian Gleason, CTP, Jack Butler, and Laura Davis Jones, we armed 400 members with actionable insights in real time. That’s what “actionable optionality” looks like. When challenges arise, TMA responds faster.

And the excitement keeps building: it’s TMA Tourney time! The 2nd Annual NextGen TMA Tourney is back, giving emerging leaders the chance to shine. Teams will tackle a real-world case, present solutions, and battle it out virtually—until the top two square off live in New Orleans at this year’s TMA Annual.

Finalists will face off in front of an elite judging panel—including a returning champ from last year. Chapters: the deadline to submit your teams is May 15. Don’t miss this chance to showcase your brightest.

And finally—on this week’s Member Moments, a heartfelt salute to Liz Aboulafia and Sheryl Giugliano of TMA Long Island. Their leadership of the 4th Annual Hon. Dorothy T. Eisenberg Women in Law Trailblazer Awards honored three remarkable law students from Touro, St. John’s, and Hofstra Law—each embodying the late Judge Eisenberg’s legacy of courage, character, and change-making.

With nearly 100 attendees and Judge Eisenberg’s children presenting the awards, this was more than a ceremony—it was a defining moment. For me, it was deeply personal. Long Island is where my own TMA journey began. And Judge Eisenberg was a mentor who helped shape my path. I’m proud to see her legacy celebrated by such dedicated members of our community.

Thank you, Liz and Sheryl—for making it matter.

As always, thanks for taking the time to listen today-and thank you to Second Wind Consultants for your unwavering support of this podcast and of TMA.

As #TMALightsTheWay, your input is critical, your contributions paramount, and your engagement the foundation that will create a better TMA for all of our members.
