Happy Saturday, and welcome to CEO Speaks for Saturday, November 2, 2024, sponsored exclusively by Second Wind Consultants, specializing in article 9, out-of-court transactional restructurings.
In the afterglow of all that TMA Love, in the city of love, Philadelphia, PA, which over 700 of our members experienced a few weeks ago, we round the home stretch of 2024 and look to what lies next in TMA nation.
Next up—well, next up, we are going to ‘Connect and Close’, the theme of the 2025 Distressed Investing Conference and the table-setting event of the new year. With deal prospects looking more robust in 2025, you will absolutely want to join the over 1,000 members who will again adorn the City of Lights, February 11-14 at the Encore, Las Vegas, for what is one of the most anticipated TMA gatherings of the year.
Registration will shortly open, so be ready to be part of the action that will kick 2025 off in grand style with new and exciting opportunities for our members to connect and close the deals that will continue to show why membership matters and how it rewards those loyal to TMA.
In just a few weeks, all eyes will be on some new and exciting happenings on the TMA international front, where November boasts some of TMA’s finest international programs.
On November 5, in a groundbreaking TMA first, TMA Europe will join forces with SFNet Europe in Warsaw, Poland, for the 2024 TMA Central and East Europe Summit and Asset Based Lending Conference.
This grand partnership will open the pathway for supporting the emerging ABL community in Europe. As the formation of TMA Poland is in the offing, we look to have this conglomeration of TMA members, ABL professionals, and those who are leading the charge in the development of TMA Poland all come together for this collaborative and innovational moment for TMA.
Following that, TMA UK and TMA Germany will host their national conferences on November 14th. Both of these outstanding chapters bring together programming that is as eclectic as it is informative and put front and center how brightly the TMA brand shines in its support of restructuring professionals all over the world.
And speaking of how our international chapters shine, lots of firsts for TMA Europe in November, as the 5th Annual Paris Leadership Summit takes place the week of November 18th. This Summit, which started as both a way to convene the chapter presidents of all of our 14 European chapters and support of the 2019 formation TMA France, has grown to be much more.
This year, with the delegation of TMA Global President Allen Wilen, TMA President-Elect Rachael Smiley, TMA Global Chair Jane Mitnick and TMA VP of Education and 2025 President-Elect Brian Gleason, CTP, all in attendance, I and this leadership team will be part of a first-ever TMA NOW Summit, which will be hosted in Paris on November 17, a joint effort of TMA France, Germany, and UK.
This creative and contemporary twist in support of our fast-growing Network of Women in Europe will focus on the current state of commercial real estate and the market climate with a diverse panel session consisting of key speakers from throughout Europe.
The Paris Summit proper, with key leaders from TMA Global and TMA Europe, hosting all of our European Chapter Presidents, will feature a reflective and deliberate day of thought leadership, as TMA Europe shares and invites participation in its first-of-its-kind strategic planning meeting, focusing on member value, TMA Europe and support of our growing EU TMA community.
And as planning begins for the third Annual TMA Global International Symposium and European Annual to be held June 2-4th in Paris, France, our global, Europe, and TMA France leaders will all convene with the TMA France board as we cement plans for what has become a world showcase opportunity for TMA.
As you can see, the TMA star shines bright, and the will and might of TMA opportunity are everywhere you look in this great big world. I hope, like me, you stand TMA proud for the vision and passion our members bring to the forefront by inventing and innovating in ways that are in sync with what matters most today and always with an eye towards the opportunities of tomorrow.
Lastly today, on this segment of member moments, we salute former TMA Chicago Presidents Angela Allen and Rob Meyers, who as honorees of the Chicagoland charity, All Stars Project, Night of Shining Stars, brought together hundreds of restructuring professionals, at an event that raised awareness and charitable support for an organization that has to date touched the lives of 40,000 young people through its development program and initiatives.
It was heartwarming to be in a room filled with caring friends and colleagues who are the very best of who we are and who we should always strive to be as people and in society.
Thank you, Angela and Rob, as well as event co-hosts TMA Chicago Midwest and HILCO Global, for using TMA Love to show what it means to be better together for the community in a way that makes us all #TMAPROUD.
As always, thanks for taking the time to listen today. And thanks again to our TMA CEO Speaks exclusive sponsor, Second Wind Consultants, for your support of TMA and this podcast.
As TMA Lights The Way, your input is critical, your contributions paramount, and your engagement the foundation that will create a better TMA for all of our members.
Until next time, I’m Scott Stuart. Be safe, resilient, and TMA Proud.
