Arthur T. Perkins
2009 TMA Chairman

Arthur Perkins became president of the Turnaround Management Association, the premier professional community dedicated to corporate renewal and turnaround management, in January 2008 and chairman in January 2009.

With offices in San Francisco, he is co-head of Deloitte Financial Advisory Services' Western Region Reorganization Services practice. He has held several TMA leadership positions, including vice president of finance, and has been an advocate of the increasing use of technology in delivering services to TMA chapters and members. He is also an active leader in the Northern California TMA Chapter.

Perkins' practice focuses on assisting under-performing companies achieve their value potential through shareholder value optimization, strategy, turnaround and financial restructuring consulting. He frequently assists in distressed company situations advising debtors, lenders, other creditors, investors and others in out-of-court and in-court situations. He also serves as an expert witness in disputes involving fraudulent transfers/conveyances, economic damages, preferential transfers, viability issues, indicia of fraud, anti-trust issues and other financial matters.

Patrick C. Lagrange
Managing Director

Patrick Lagrange became president of the Turnaround Management Association, the premier professional community dedicated to corporate renewal and turnaround management, on January 1, 2009.

As managing director in the New York office of Carl Marks Advisory Group LLC (CMAG), he is responsible for financial restructuring, as well as private debt finance and mergers and acquisitions services at CMAG, which provides a wide array of investment banking and financial and operational advisory services to the middle market.

Lagrange brings 20 years’ experience in the restructuring industry and eight years of service to TMA International to his new position as president. He has held several leadership positions, including vice president of education and chairs of various educational, finance, chapter relations and conference committees. He served as the 2002-2003 president of the New York City TMA Chapter, where he helped develop a graduate student paper contest, which became the model for TMA’s current Carl Marks Student Paper Competition. He has been a catalyst for educational initiatives throughout his volunteer service and plans to launch a new TMA branded professional education program during his year as president.
