Chicago/Midwest Chapter to Welcome George W. Bush

Joe Fobbeby Joe Fobbe, Chapter President
Nov 9, 2009
(Illinois [Chicago/Midwest])

I extend my personal gratitude to President Bush for his service to our country. Many in our membership know the challenges of turnaround and crisis management, but none of us has been as challenged as our 43rd President was that fateful morning in September of 2001.  Our country witnessed horrors we never thought we would, looked to the White House for leadership, stability, and courage, and received it.

Our Senior Executive Forum on the evening of November 19th is made even more special as it is the first time that we’ve opened up this important annual event to non-members and also partnered with some very strong names in the Chicago business community: The Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce, lead by Jerry Roper, and Crains Chicago Business, where we’ve worked with David Snyder and Amy Shivvers.  And, of course, we’ve appreciated and enjoyed Jim Tyree’s support and involvement not only as Chairman and CEO of Mesirow Financial but also in his capacity as Chairman of the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce.

TMA is the premier association of corporate renewal professionals in the world and it’s more important than ever to be taking our value-proposition to the broader business community. We thank Crains Chicago, the Chamber of Commerce, and Mr. Tyree for their support. More importantly, we thank all of our committed members, volunteers and generous sponsors for their strong support of our Chapter.

High Caliber is the only way to describe this very special event that clearly says, Now is Our Time for the TMA. And once again, the Chicago/Midwest Chapter, the 2008 TMA Chapter of the Year, is leading the way. Please join us on November 19.

Joe
