What is TMA?
Turnaround Management Association ( www.turnaround.org ) is the only international non-profit association dedicated to corporate renewal and turnaround management.
Who belongs to TMA?
With international headquarters in Chicago, TMA has 7,700 members in 40 chapters, including 29 in the U.S. , two in Canada , and one each in Australia, Finland, France, Germany, India, Japan, New Zealand, Southern Africa, Taiwan, and the U.K., with chapters in formation in Hong Kong, Italy, Spain, and Austria. They comprise a professional community of turnaround practitioners, attorneys, accountants, investors, lenders, venture capitalists, appraisers, liquidators, executive recruiters, and consultants.
How do I become a member?
You can join online by clicking on the Membership tab at www.turnaround.org and filling out an application. Or you can call 1-312-578-6900 or e-mail info@turnaround.org for a membership brochure and application.
How do I contact a chapter?
On the home page of the Web site, click on Chapters. A list of chapters by state, region, and country comes up, along with the names of their presidents and links to their Web sites. While on a chapter's Web site, you can view all the board members or committees by going up to the About TMA tab and clicking on Board or Committees.
How do I find a TMA member?
Go to the home page and on the left-hand side, click on Members. You can search for members by name, location, specialty areas, and other criteria.
How much does it cost?
Memberships are on an individual basis and run on a calendar year from January 1 to December 31. Annual dues are $275 for turnaround industry professionals, $115 for government employees and academic members, and $65 for full-time students.
Optional memberships include $105 for INSOL (International Federation of Insolvency Professionals) to gain access to insolvency professionals in 60 countries.
