TMA Annual Awards Program

2013 Turnaround and transaction awards

ABOUT THE AWARDS PROGRAM
TMA honors excellence through its annual awards program, which recognizes achievements in the categories listed below.

TURNAROUND OF THE YEAR AWARD
A turnaround means more than adjusting a balance sheet. When corporate value is on the line, jobs are at stake and time is the enemy, turnaround professionals step in to establish effective operations, implement solid management, improve cash flow and increase production, in addition to the countless other factors that contribute to the triumphant recovery of a struggling company.

Because TMA understands that each turnaround is unique, it has created distinct categories to recognize outstanding turnarounds. The awards are presented to the individual, who together with a team of turnaround professionals, has orchestrated the most successful turnaround in the following categories:

Small Company (company revenue at onset of turnaround was $50 million USD or less)
Mid-Size Company (company revenue at onset of turnaround was $50 million to $300 million USD)
Large Company (company revenue at onset of turnaround was $300 million USD or greater)
Mega Company (company revenue at onset of the turnaround was $1 billion USD or greater)
International Company (company with significant cross-border operations)
Pro Bono (no fees in exchange for services); entry must demonstrate financial stability

TRANSACTION OF THE YEAR AWARD
The Transaction of the Year awards recognizes the individuals who orchestrate a non-operational restructuring, including merger and acquisition, sale, loan, liquidation, etc., to preserve value in a struggling business. Entry categories include:

Small Company (company revenue at time of transaction was $50 million USD or less)
Mid-Size Company (company revenue at time of transaction was $50 million to $300 million USD)
Large Company (company revenue at time of the transaction was $300 million USD or greater)
Mega Company (company revenue at time of the transaction was $1 billion USD or greater)
